Usain van Boldt began life as a 2021 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van. He was outfitted by Winnebago outside of Forest City, Iowa into a 2022 Boldt KL, a class B camper van.

According to Winnebago’s literature, the Boldt was inspired by the boundless spirit of its namesake – German explorer and naturalist Alexander Von Humboldt.

Usain van Boldt was named after Usain Bolt, the greatest sprinter of all time (see what we did there?).

We took delivery of Usain on a cold day in late January 2022. The drive from Forest City to the Des Moines area was very windy and it was late when we arrived home after getting trained on all of Usain’s infrastructure and completing all the paperwork.
