I always wanted to hike in the Loess Hills State Park in western Iowa! We had a small campground nearby to ourselves with lots of rabbits (lots!) for company. We heard barred owls, coyotes yipping and howling at the moon, and saw and a doe and her fawn. The trails are through the woods and open up to great vistas on the east side of the park. We even weathered our first thunderstorm in Usain!
