Bowman Lake State Park is a beautiful park with a shallow lake and gorgeous old growth forest to hike through. I found many primitive plants here which made me think of teaching botany and was doubly appreciative of the wonderful collection that Jennifer R. left for me at JHS. Hiking on layers of leaves and pine needles is so comfy on the feet! And the mossy stone wall was picturesque – maybe added by CCC workers 90 years ago?
