We are staying at an RV park near Edgewood New Mexico and visited Wildlife West Nature Park where they house rescued endemic animals.

At the nature park, we learned that grey foxes climb trees, and the black bear was a triple offender in a state park where he kept breaking into coolers to get human food. The tree chollas cactus gets tree-sized and even hosts bird nests.

We were surprised by how most of the road signs in this area are cracked and faded — not necessarily due to there age but rather the intensity of the sun and the fact that they have 310 days of sunshine per year. We would have expected to see more solar panels in this area with that amount of sun.
