Nature

by

Jan. 13, 2023: Port Aransas, Texas. We found a nature preserve to hike through. Where we were headed originally, the salt marsh grass was on fire from a lawnmower spark. This nearby trail, Charlie’s Pasture, has a really long raised accessible walkway and viewing platforms to watch the birds. So many different types of ducks, big pelicans, egrets, herons, and more. There are plants in bloom (in January!!!) and there is a 13-foot alligator named Boots. We only saw his footprints. -Lisa
