Catnip and Primrose spent their first day in Dad’s house in our guest bedroom upstairs while we did our best to kitty-proof the house. We moved plants and shut off the master suite and office to protect plants and cords from little, sharp teeth. Primrose is an expert door-opener, so we mostly kept her away by putting an object like a stuffed bear in front of the closed doors. It mostly worked. 🙂 They have enjoyed having more space to run and having carpeted stairs to roll and slide down.
