We hiked up the “Jeep” path at Rim Lake, that doesn’t look safe for Jeeps anymore. There was lots of erosion. Then we continued along the ridge. There were spring flowers, sagebrush, and rocks with lichen everywhere. The views were absolutely amazing—hills, valleys, and snow-capped mountains in the distance.

Evidence of humans is apparent everywhere. There are several Jeep trails, pallets, dog prints, shell/bullet casings and trash. The vault toilets had been used as target practice along with lots of metals things and the stop sign at the end of the road.
