Usain came with an optional ladder added on by the dealer. It can be removed and placed “anywhere” around the van for access to the roof. At least, that’s how it’s advertised. Except it can’t be placed anywhere on the passenger side due to the awning. Except it can’t be placed where the solar panels are placed on the roof. Then you also need to avoid the tire wells and other places where the van outsize walls aren’t flat. That leaves about a 3-foot space up by the driver’s door. There have been at least a couple of times where we had awning issues and the only way to reach it was to drag a picnic table over to the van and stand on it.

Since a table isn’t always available we now carry a telescoping ladder under the passenger side bed.
