We left the winery to travel toward Minneapolis. As we drove by Avon, we saw a sign for the Lake Wobegon Trail and pulled off the interstate for a walk. This above-average trail is 65 miles of paved path over old railroad ways. Our short walk was between two lakes with trees and prairie flowers along it.

We have a two-night stay in the Lebanon Hills Campground. This feels like it’s right in the city when you drive in, but it’s very peaceful and has many miles of hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing trails. There are many ponds/lakes in the area with a canoe path on the trail map where the ponds are very close.
