Lauren is a boat junkie, so any mention of a boat ride and she is in. We drove to Bayfield and hopped the ferry over to Madeline Island for an afternoon of fun. We got some hummus and crackers and drinks at the Madeline Island Market. The kids like hummus! And Bonnie got her questions answered about critters on the island – yes bears are here, and winter living—they use sleds to get to the mainland. The shops have less than a month before they close for the season. We picked up a late lunch at Grandpa Tony’s Pizza then headed back. Tony and Sammie had started the fire for our s’mores and we were looking forward to that.
