We left Wisconsin for the Upper Peninsula, which is a pretty drive. We spent the night at the Country Village RV park and walked to downtown Ishpeming for an evening stroll. The mining museum looks interesting, but it won’t open until Tuesday. We took pictures of the grounds and walked around the town. There are many large houses, some really kept up and some not, that shows Ishpeming was a happening place back in the day with mining money to be spent here. Three mining shafts are visible from a distance as you drive into town.
