Maumee Bay State Park, Ohio

by

We are on track to get back home this weekend to give me a bit of time before checking in for jury duty next week. We are only staying one night in this lovely state park. Definitely will return—more trails to hike and a beach to enjoy in warmer weather. Of course, the bacteria in the water like warmer days, too, as posted on the beach signs. When you make a reservation, the form asks if you are bringing a golf cart and there is a fee for that. I have never encountered the question before, but I see why after visiting this park. It is very large and has paved paths all over the place. Biking would be so fun here.

The campground has numerous sites, paved and level with grass/trees on both sides for privacy from other campers. The (very clean) bathhouses sit between each loop of sites and are accessible only on foot or bike or cart. I’m sure lots of families find this to be a wonderful place in the summer months.
