The halfway point between Leander and my friend’s farm in Kansas just happens to be the WinStar World Casino in Oklahoma. We aren’t big gamblers, but this enormous place catches your eye as you drive by. This time we stopped. Our first (and only) night was free, and the campground is really nice. There is a shuttle to take you to the casino, but it is only about a half-mile walk. The shuttle is about a twenty-minute ride because it takes a trip to another nearby casino first. We walked back; enough of that nonsense. We clocked a couple of miles indoors and out. In the casino, we enjoyed a dinner at the Dallas Cowboys Bar and Grill, and Tony won $1.48 at an automated craps table. He fed in money, made a bet on an electronic screen, then two big dice under a dome were popped into the air to be rolled. He quit as soon as he was ahead:).
