It wasn’t our longest trip in Usain in terms of miles (almost 6,000), but it was the longest duration at 116 days away from home. That’s 2 adults and 2 cats living in a van for nearly 4 months!

No new states visited in Usain this trip, but we got to see a lot of Texas (it really does have everything from beaches to deserts to mountains to hills to plains and big cities) as well as the SE corner of New Mexico, which was definitely our travel list since we started our adventures nearly 2 years ago.

Worst parts of this trip were the wind and dust storms we ran into and endured. Best parts were seeing a total eclipse and visiting Mexico. Oh, and of course the beach during the coldest months of winter. We already have reservations on South Padre again for next winter.
