Lighthouses (Viti):

Typical Icelandic lighthouses are square-shaped with colors being white, orange or yellow. They have over one hundred; we didn’t see them all.

Dyrholaey Lighthouse is where we saw our first puffins. They were on the cliff to the east of this lighthouse and relatively close to us.

Skarsviti is on Vatnsnes peninsula where we watched seals from a distance.

Sugandisey Island Lighthouse is in the town of Stykkisholmur. It used to be an island for sheep to safely graze on, but now it is connected to the mainland and has the lighthouse on it.

Ondverdarnesviti and Skalasnagaviti lighthouses were out on a long, slow-going rocky road. The surface is fine up to the golden beach at Skardsvik, but is dicey after that.
