After giving it a lot of thought, and weighing the pros and cons, we finally did it. We ditched Usain’s duallies and made a major upgrade to super singles. We purchased the Sixty Sprinter Super Singles set from Own Offroad, which included a spare (that can go on either the front or back, if needed). Of course, now that we have a spare, we needed Owl to add a spare carrier to the back. I always said that we would never travel to Alaska without a spare, so now, who knows?

I’m very happy with how it all turned out. The result is that the van looks more adventerous and less glampy. We’ll now have to see how they handle and wear over time. Lisa’s brother in Fort Collins was the benefactor of the old wheels and tires to do with what he pleases, which is fine by us to keep them out of the landfill.
