We really like the custom bed baskets I made for Usain, but we’ve found they aren’t convenient for holding drinks while lounging in the Boldt’s beds. For my latest 3D print experiment, I designed custom bedside drink holders. Lisa mainly drinks hot tea and typically keeps the bed bolster in place, so her’s is drivers-side, mug-only holder that slides underneath the bolster. I like to slide the bolster down to make for a wider bed, so I designed my drink holder to fit between the van’s wall and matress. I also added a can holder to mine that fits a beer or pop. Both designs turned out very stable and shouldn’t tip our drinks when moving around on the beds.
