Feb. 5, 2023: Isla Blanca Park, SPI, TX. Another perfect weather day. We did get in another bike ride to the Farmer’s Market, and I actually took my camp chair to the beach and read this afternoon:). I finally found a Moon Jelly washed up on the beach, and walked over the mudflats that have Black Mangrove everywhere. I could see those pneumataphore roots that I used to teach my botany students about. The roots stick up out of the mud to get oxygen since the tree grows submersed in water. -Lisa
