Salt Lake City has a light rail system in addition to buses so it’s pretty easy to leave the van and cats behind in a temperature-controlled environment while we joined some tourists at the under-construction Temple Square. It would have been a long walk from the Salt Lake City KOA (about 5 miles round trip to the square, let alone walking on up to Capitol Hill like we did) and we were glad to have the trains. There were many Mormons in pairs walking the grounds with name tags and flags showing nationality. We did sit in the Tabernacle and listen to some of the organ concert (got lucky with timing) so we got to hear that amazing pipe organ. There are really beautiful houses on the streets up to Capitol Hill, and the capitol building and grounds are beautiful.
