This time we ventured into downtown Salt Lake City with the van so we would have the cats close by. We parked across from where the Utah Jazz play. We made our way to Clark Planetarium where we played in the exhibits and learned about blue whales. Their future is somewhat optimistic after almost being wiped off the face of the planet. The film crew even managed to find babies for the film, calves that gain 200+ pounds a day on the gallons and gallons of milk from the moms. So cool to see it in 3D! In the evening, after the rain, we walked for a bit on the Jordan river trail that is behind the RV park. The river is more of a creek here, but the area is really pretty. This RV park is nicely situated for visiting Salt Lake City with the state fairgrounds right down the street, downtown just 2 miles away, a train station right out front and a long, paved river trail right behind it. And it was shady!
