Fridge Door Mod

by

The Boldt’s stock refrigerator comes with a right-handed door. The problem is that it can’t fully open since it hits one of the beds. This in turn means the freezer door can’t fully open either making it a real pain. Fortunately, the door can be converted to a left-handed door. It wasn’t as easy as I had hoped since I chose not to completely pull it out to work on it but I managed. It took some finagling to get the bottom hinge screws put back in. It also requires 2 new holes for the top handles but the screws go right into the plastic without pilot holes. The only downside is that it leaves the 2 old holes on the right side. I still need to plug them with silicone or something else.

This is one of those common sense mods that should have been done by Winnebago in the first place. We’re still looking for the perfect cover to the door to add some life to it, yet still easy to clean.
