Cars and so much more

by

We said goodbye to Custer State Park today and stopped in Rapid City, SD for a little laundry. A stop at Wall Drug is almost obligatory and I chose the garden burger while Tony tried the buffalo burger for lunch. We then toured the Pioneer Auto museum in Murdo, SD and spent the night in their parking lot as they are a Harvest Host. This was more than a car collection, though that collection alone is pretty impressive. There was movie memorabilia and collectibles and antiques all over the several buildings housing it all. I even saw some milking equipment like my Grandpa Kinnison used on his dairy farm laying in the middle of a boat motor collection. I talked with our hosts who are also RVers and hired by the owner to do this each summer. I mentioned that they should tour The House on the Rock in WI, to see another collection gone crazy. The WI place is bigger and wilder, but the car collection here is pretty extensive.
