Any house owner knows that sink traps can be messy, smelly things when you go to clean them. A sink with a house on wheels is no different but the different kind of trap found in some RVs can speed up the need to clean them. The waterless trap found in the Boldt’s kitchen uses a rubber membrane to keep the grey tank’s odors from coming up into the coach. About a year into our traveling we noticed a funky smell coming from the kitchen sink so it was time to learn how to clean the trap. It wasn’t too bad and turned out to be a good hands-on experience to see how they work.
