Our campsite, Tiki RV Park, is about one mile from the ferry terminal in St. Ignace. We were going to walk there, but the Shepler’s shuttle bus happened to be in the campground as we were leaving. Because we rode the shuttle, we each got a $2 discount on our tickets for the day. We got a ride and saved money??? Okay! We happened to stand in line behind a young family whose picture I had taken in the park last night. And the family in front of them is in the neighboring RV spot, I met the daughter and dog this morning, and that mom is reading the Loving Frank book (that I got from Tammy) that I have with me. She saw me put it in my backpack on the shuttle, so we talked about books a bit. I plan to drop it off at a free library box later. Tony was confused how I seemed to know everyone in line with us—funny!

Part of the ambiance of the island is the lack of cars. There are horse teams everywhere and some pooper scoopers who have that fun job. We were pretty tired after our long perimeter walk, so sitting down for a late lunch was a wonderful ending to our island trip. Time to get back to the kitties.
