We had a rainy day of travel to Oscoda, MI. The nice thing that Michigan does on these two-lane state highways is put in roadside parks and scenic turnouts that are maintained by their DOT. It provides pretty places to stop and stretch or make lunch. There was a nice paved bike trail that connected several of these on our way along the coast of Lake Huron to Oscoda. It finally quit raining on Thursday, and we drove to the beach in Oscoda for a walk after I used the nice KOA laundry facilities.

I did manage to take a picture of this magnificent mushroom, a Fly Agaric, that was growing in the campground. It was perfectly dome-shaped one day, and had flattened out to release it’s spores the next day.
