The fastest way from Michigan to New York is through Canada. The immigration officer letting us into Canada asked about tobacco and alcohol this time (last time it was weapons) and she wasn’t concerned at all about pets. She didn’t look at their immunization certificates; maybe because we were just driving through. We saw a caravan of electrical line workers; about 25-30 vehicles in three groups on the highway. Coming back to the USA took about 45 minutes in line as we crept across the Peace Bridge (opened 6/1/1927) then a cursory glance at documents and we were on our way.

We stopped at the Mill Road Park near the brewery to rest and walk after the morning drive. A pet store and groceries were our next stops before parking for the night at the brewery. We had delicious sandwiches from the bar and shared a flight of some interesting flavors like tangerine lime hard seltzer, half slice orange vanilla cream ale and masked defenders caramelized pineapple sour. My favorite was the Ebenezer White Ale. The outdoor patios are beautifully landscaped with more planned as they had pallets of pavers nearby. After I won the first game of cribbage, Tony wanted another, and he was victorious.
