I noticed there was quite a bit of rust on the road guard that protects the exterior propane controls and it was time for a new coat of paint. It was fairly easy to remove and a lot of the existing paint flaked off with nudge from a paint scraper and wire brush. I masked the primary warning label and then repainted it using the same high temperature spray paint I used on my grill/smoker. At some point I’ll need to do the same for the entire propane tank, but unlike the guard, the paint is not flaking off in spite of some rust showing.
