Today we traveled to Mustang Island, the barrier island protecting Corpus Christi. We stayed here last year and loved this beach which goes on for miles in both directions. Tony saw some parasails and Baby Yoda, aka Grogu, a Christmas gift, enjoyed the ride. The drive was very flat and we passed by a hugemongous power plant and an even bigger plastics plant. We also saw farms and wetlands and bayous.

I met a woman from Arkansas who was camping with her husband and dog on the beach and worried about the tides. I must have looked like an expert walking by as she had lots of questions for me. Meeting new people is part of the fun of travel.
