Nude Beach

by

Boy, that title really draws you in, doesn’t it? We had a beautiful day with a cool breeze to go exploring the beach north of where Padre Boulevard ends. It was a bit too cool to shuck the clothes as the old lifeboat suggested, though Tony stripped to his shorts for the photo op. Abandoning ship to sit in one of these while awaiting rescue would be terrifying.

Paul put the truck into four-wheel drive to get through the thick sand, then it was easy driving along the water. The seashells here are bigger so we collected a few. We watched a pilot set up for powered paragliding by climbing a dune to jump off with his parachute to test that, then warming up the motor before take off. It was quite the process, but it obviously wasn’t his first flight.
