A rainy weekend changes plans a bit. Friday had mild temps and the rain was intermittent and light. Grab the umbrellas and walk anyway was the plan. Good movie and reading day as well. It doesn’t hurt to stop at a local establishment to have some refreshments in out of the rain as well! Saturday was a bit harder to get out with strong winds and much colder temps. Neither of us got near our step/movement goals that day. My step total on Saturday was 3,894 while I averaged over 22,000 each day for the week. Makes us appreciate the nice weather days!
Happenstance and a break in the rain on Friday led us to walk through the KOA near our campground just to look around. While we were there, the SpaceX hovercraft docked. This is a new transport between Starbase and South Padre Island for employees to use. Starbase is only five miles away, but the road to get there goes all the way to Brownsville to go over the water and is an hour drive from here to there. This makes a much shorter trip to and from work and it’s a pretty cool type of transport.
