Campground at a Winery-Yes, Please

by

We are headed to northern Minnesota to see the sights and have some cool nights to sleep with the windows open. Voyageur National Park and the North Shore are our destinations.

Our first stop is at the Wild Vines Campground at the Wild Mountain Winery north of the Twin Cities. They have several shady places to sit outside around the tasting room, and there was live music this evening. We enjoyed a couple of wine flights before supper and managed to get back to listen to the last few songs of The Roberts Brothers. They played covers of older pop music, both playing guitar with the lead singer playing the cornet as well.

This winery has set up several yurts and camping spots in amongst the grape vines, creating picturesque places to spend the night. They also have a bathhouse with separate shower rooms. We were not plugged in, but only ran the a/c for a couple of hours before it cooled off this evening. The batteries can handle that easily. The new roof-mounted Starlink dish is working nicely. We can use it on the road while driving and there was no need to set it up once we stopped for the night.
