We chose the latest embarkation time slot to have time to tour the USS Iowa this morning without feeling rushed. After rolling our big luggage for over a mile, going through security, and getting our all important room key card (which is used for everything), we found our room 9044 ready for us.
In watching some how-to-cruise videos online, I remembered one suggestion to take photos of your room right away at its cleanest. In comparing to our usual travel accommodations , i.e. Usain, this has plenty of space with a nice-sized bathroom. We dropped off the luggage, took some pictures, then went to find drinks and the rest of our traveling party.

We did manage to watch the Jewel leave port at sunset from our balcony at level nine and the wraparound deck at level seven, where the lifeboats are stored.
