Paluxy River View

by

One more hike at Dinosaur Valley before leaving the Glen Rose area was on the agenda today. We hiked up through a juniper forest to the limestone ridge for wide views of the valley.

The statues at the Somerville County Courthouse in Glen Rose tell the tale of founding father Charles Barnard and his bartering with the Comanches for their captive, Juana Cavasos, whom he fell in love with and married.

Tonight we are staying in Leander at the KOA, and will travel to the Patriot RV Park in Cuervo, Texas after that. Just doing short drives toward Port Aransas.
