Mustang Island is a barrier island that protects Corpus Christi Bay and has a miles-long beach with several access points. The past two years we stayed at the state park here, but this year we chose to be in the town of Port Aransas to try a different spot. This is a small beach community at the eastern end of the island, and we liked the Surfside RV park.
