We started our unexpected layover in Davenport with a power walk around the parameter of the Rhythm City Casino parking lot and then along a bike trail/sidewalk that took us along fields of corn ready to be harvested.

After our walk and breakfast we made our way to West Lake Park for the rest of the day and overnight. It’s a nice county park not too far from the edge of the city and there were lots of camp sites available this time of year without a reservation. We wiled the day away with hikes, reading, and generally hanging out with Catnip and Primrose in Usain awaiting our appointment at the Mercedes dealership early the next morning.
