Trekking north on I-17 to Sedona from the Sunbeat Winery led us to some new Arizona landscapes. We saw our first “Burro Crossing” signs and encountered a grassland at the Sunset Point Rest Area. Other sights included hillside mining, pretty overpasses, and our first encounter with Flex Lanes outside of a city. And then there are the iconic red rocks of Sedona. Wow!
Unfortunately, I didn’t feel well and wasn’t up to enjoying our new spot. Tony wandered around the campground and found Oak Creek behind it while I rested.
The website for Rancho Sedona RV Park promised a park-like setting amongst the sycamore and cottonwood trees, and that is so true. We felt at home in a row of other vans camping near us. There are super clean and nice restrooms and laundry, too. Definitely would love to stay here again.
