Bright sunshine greeted us this morning, and was very welcome after our rainy day yesterday. We drove up to the Cap Rock trail where we could park. The trail looked muddy, but we really wanted to see the natural bridge. Tony stepped on a short slope with wet bentonite clay and did a cool 180-degree turn around and slid about six feet to the bottom. Then he carefully made his way back up to me, and we decided to try a different trail. The ponderosa trail was mostly grassy with much better footing. The disc golf course continues up here in the wooded and prairie parts of the park. Ryan should definitely come try this one as the lower part of the course looks really hard, particularly if you miss a shot and have to go after your disc. There were several groups on the lower course as we left the park to head back to North Dakota.

We stopped for lunch at The Dam Park in Belfield, ND. There is a nice walking path and yet another disc golf course around this small lake. We walked with a resident for a bit, and he told us that the dam sprung a leak recently that they were fixing. We could tell the water had recently dropped a couple of feet, even with their four inch rain the previous day.

We spent the night in General Sibley Park which is part of the Bismarck park system. We have a nice, shady spot surrounded by trees and shrubs.
