Volta Power System Ventilation Mod

by

Usain’s Volta Power System (inverter, batteries, etc.) can get very warm at times and I’ve read that some Boldt owners have had to get various parts replaced due to overheating. Following the lead of a fellow Boldt owner who posts in the Boldt’s Facebook group, I decided to add a powered ventilation system.

Using the same brand of fan that I used for the Electronic Equipment Ventilation Mod, I added a 6″ fan to the compartment area that houses the power system. This particular fan includes a thermostat that allows the fan to come on automatically when it reaches a set temperature.

Need to move the custom water pump switch to make room for the fan’s control panel
Using the provided template to mark location of fan

Thermostat sensor is on a cord so it can be positioned toward center of compartment

Found an open 110 receptacle for the fan – got lucky!
Control panel installed (and custom water pump switch moved)
Fan installed!
